From the inventory: "A bearded figure of St. Matthew, dressed in a
tunic and flowing outer garment, stands barefoot holding an open
book at waist level with his proper left hand. He raises his proper
right hand in a gesture of blessing. The figure stands atop an
inscribed base that rests in back of a long planter."
