Maddens Falls are on the Maddens Creek, in Darkes Forest. Maddens Creek is a tributary of Georges River, and is located north-west of Wollongong. The area is a swampy wetland upon a sandstone base, which the creek has worn into a pothole riddled pathway. The area is protected as State Conservation Park and Water Catchment.
The waterfalls are of the cascade type.
