According to the Department of Information Technology and Management, is at Woronora Trig Station, about 5 kilometres south west of Heathcote. The trig station is 281.88m above sea level. (visit link)

Unfortunately the trees surrounding the trig block out any view beyond about 50 metres. A short walk from this hill to escarpments nearby (a very good one is found 400 metres west) provides stunning views of the Sydney Basin.

Next to the trig is a tower operated by Airservices Australia, which functions as an air control beacon, guiding aircraft into Sydney International Airport.

To reach the trig, you must park your car at the start of a fire trail off Woronora Dam road. Don't drive past the gate as it can be locked without notice. The walk up the hill takes approximately 20 minutes - a picnic table about 2/3 of the way up provides some relief for the weary walker.
