Combined with a hike to the nearby Pinnacle (only 2 miles as the trail goes), Pulpit Rock offers excellent views to the South and East. At Elevation of 1582 ft, this lookout is atop the Kittatinny Ridge. An Observatory, run by the Lehigh Valley Amateur Astronomical Society is located near this lookout.
You can take the Appalachian Trail to get here or walk up the private road to the Observatory.
