From the inventory: "Two groups of open-faced rectangular pillars, painted black and placed atop a base of cement and plants. Extending upward from the rectangular pillars are ten other pillars that are covered with a reflective material that creates the colors of the spectrum.
The artist designed the sculpture to represent the technological and agricultural aspects of Davis."
