Long Description:

Located at 220 N. Highland Street in Marfa, the former opera house, turned Art Deco theater seating 761, is currently used as a private residence. This reuse has proven to be a blessing in disguise since the exterior of the building now exhibits much of its former glory.

The location scenes for the movie, Giant, were filmed on a nearby ranch. During the time this was being done, movies of the stars (Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, James Dean) were shown at The Palace.
