Eight panels on the east outside wall depict important figures from the American journalism field. The remaining six reliefs of printer's marks complete the sculptural program of the building.

The printer's marks are pictured above the reliefs. I also included photos of the history of printing reliefs, which were omitted from the Art Inventory listing.

"Riverside Plaza was originally built for the Chicago Daily News by Holabird and Root. It is one of Chicago's great Art Deco buildings. If you look across the river from the Plaza you'll see the Civic Opera Building, another important deco building in the history of Chicago's architecture."

Riverside Plaza Building 2 North Riverside Plaza Chicago, Illinois Reliefs are on the east outside wall facing the plaza along the Chicago River.


DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH:
None. However as I mentioned above there are more reliefs on the building that I believe should have been included in the database. I included their photos as well.
