A used video game and DVD store has a new name and new location.

The Game X-Change, formerly known as Model City Games, recently relocated to 2305 Fort Henry Drive, beside Shoney’s, after being located in downtown Kingsport for nearly three years.

The Game X-Change is locally owned and specializes in buying, selling and trading a variety of entertainment products, including new and used video games, DVDs and collectable card games.

The store carries all the latest systems and many games for the XBOX 360, Wii, PS3, PSP and Nintendo DS along with many classic systems, including Atari 2600, NES, SNES and Genesis, and more recent systems such as PlayStation 1 and 2, Gamecube, XBOX and Nintendo 64. Extra controllers, memory cards, cases and other video game accessories can also be found at the Game X-Change.

In addition to video games, the store buys and sells DVDs, movies and boxed sets, and carries a large supply of Magic: The Gathering cards, from Arabian Nights to Magic 2010, along with a few Power Nine cards. The Game X-Change will soon begin offering disc repair service, where for a small fee people can have their CDs, DVDs, video games and Blu-Ray discs repaired in a matter of minutes.
