L'aqueduc romain.

The Roman Aqueduct.

[EN] Water was supplied to the Roman city of Antipolis (Antibes) by two aqueducts, the aqueduct of Font-Vielle, which ran along the coast in the direction of Biot, and the aqueduct called "la Bouillide" which ran in the direction of Valbonne.
Recent studies have shown that the second one ran through the community of Vallauris.
The most spectacular vestige of this aqueduct in the Vallauris territory is the bridge of Goa.
Four piers and three arches are what remains of this bridge aqueduct in the forest of la Valmasque.
It is thought to have supplied water to the Roman fountain in the garden of the rectory.
