A sculpture of a deer by San Anselmo's town hall.
Waymark Code: WM7G98
Location: California, United States

The deer is painted gold with big blue eyes. It sits in front of the town hall. It was restored in 2003 with the help of Rory and Shannon.
The golden paint on the deer is fading. The base seems to be now painted gold too.
It should be noted that the name in the inventory is different than the name on the plaque. The name on the plaque uses the alternative name of Sugarfoot.
Extra information from the inventory: "The sculpture was donated to the city by Daisy Dondero. The sculpture originally stood on the grounds of Miss Dondero's grandparents home "Vienna Gardens" in San Francisco, where it survived the earthquake and fire of 1906. It was moved by the family to their home in San Anselmo in 1914, where it stood until 1963 when it was donated to the city and reinstalled at city hall. City workmen replaced a broken antler on the sculpture sometime in the 1960's"
The plaque at the base of the deer reads: "Sugarfoot" fondly restored with the help of Shannon and Rory. 2003"
