The de Havilland Aircraft Heritage Centre, incorporating the Mosquito Aircraft Museum, is located near to Salisbury Hall, London Colney. Salisbury Hall was the location for the work on the Mosquito aircraft. The hall was purchased by se Havillands from Sir Nigel Gresley, the famous locomotive designer.
The exhibits include:-
Halford Hall which tells the story of the de Havilland Aircraft Company and houses a collection of aero engines and turbines.
Main Hangar with a range of de Havilland aircraft.
DH110 Sea Vixen aircraft and two types of missiles.
Prototype Mosquito Hangar containing a replica Mosquito, flying memorabilia and the unique Cierva Autogyro.
Static Aircraft Park containing DH125, Dove 6, Comet 1 fuselage, Trident fuselage, Venom, Vampire and Heron aircraft and a Comet simulator.
Restoration hangars containing DH89 Dragon and DH 88 Comet under restoration
The Museum is open from first Sunday in March to last Sunday of October
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
Bank Holidays and Sundays 10.30 am to 5.30 pm.
