Niagara Falls is the centerpiece of this vibrant region. The natural beauty of Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and American Falls draw the attention of travelers and residents, and provide a memorable experience for all visitors.

The state of New York and the city have protected the environment so these features will be forever accessible to the public. The State Park is beautifully landscaped, and there are numerous amenities for visitors.

The history of the area is presented in signs, plaques, statues and structures. Surrounding the falls you will find wide walkways over an arched bridge, under a monumental arch, and through wildlife habitats containing ducks, geese and black squirrels.

Visitors can view the falls from the precipice, from the Cave of the Winds deck, from the massive observation tower, or from a boat or helicopter. The area can easily be reached by walking, driving, public transit or tour vehicle.

The mist arising from the falls creates a perpetual rainbow when the sunlight passes through. At night, the falls are illuminated in vibrant colors with powerful floodlights; and the skyline of Niagara Falls, Ontario glitters above.

Modern day explorers can discover numerous waymarks, benchmarks and geocaches while touring the park.
