Savona is one of the most important towns, seaports and industrial centers in the Northern Italian region of Liguria on the coast of Mediterranean Sea. Savona, located about 50 km from Genoa, is known since early Roman times. In the Middle Ages it was a flourishing important commercial center until defeated and annexed by Genoa in 16th century.
Thanks to it's favorable location Savona Ferry Terminal serves as a gateway between Italy and Corsica. The terminal, operated by Corsica-Sardinia Ferries, offers daily regular passenger and car transport between Savona on the Italian mainland and Bastia, Ile Rousse and Calvi on Corsica.
The Savona Ferry Terminal facilities include a ground-floor ticket office, snack bar, nursery, waiting area with facilities for children, panoramic terraces and bank office.
