Located in the lattice Botanical Building, this 10X10 raised bog garden has a variety of carnivorous plants, including some tropical Nepenthes hanging above.
The Botanical Building was built for the 1915-16 Exposition, along with the adjacent Lily Pond. It is one of the largest lath structures in the world. The Botanical Building plantings include more than 2,100 permanent plants, featuring collections of cycads, ferns, orchids, other tropical plants, and palms.

There is no fee for parking or entrance to the park. The Botanical Building is free and open daily, except for Thursdays and holidays, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The park contains a variety of exhibits, museums and the San Diego Zoo - fees vary.
