The Rhine Valley or Middle Rhine (Mittelrhein in German) is the most famous section of the river Rhine in Germany. Rhine, running between the cities of Bonn and Mainz, spanning here the states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. The most picturesque section between towns Bingen and Koblenz is known as the Rhine Gorge. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the entire valley is often called "The Romantic Rhine.

A trip along the Rhine is on the itinerary of most tourists, as it should be. The section between Bingen and Koblenz also offers beatiful vistas of steep vineyard-covered mountains punctuated by scores of castles. It’s really rather magical...

The given coordinates are on parking-site at the Rhine bank close to the one of the most picturesque objects of the Valley - the water castle Pfalz... (see photo). Another pictures were taken during the travelling from mainz to Koblenz and are own description.
