The hotel was designed by architect Frank Edbrooke and is triangular on the outside. The atrium is actually five sided. Since its opening, light has poured into the atrium from the stained-glass skylight eight stories above. Afternoon tea is now a custom in the lobby with Denverites and visitors alike listening to a harpist or pianist.
