According to the UPS, it has been in operation since 1775. This office does not provide delivery, only post office boxes. The Pittstown and Flemington offices provide rural delivery to the surrounding area. Quakertown is a hamlet named for the Quaker Meeting house which is located across the street from the PO. Quakertown is an unincorporated locale which is part of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.
