This is the second Post Office building for the small town of Shannon, AL. There is a tiny building a block away that was the original post office dating back over 100 years. Recent growth in the area has greatly increased the number of residents served due to the nearby Ross Bridge Resort, Spa, Championship Golf, and residential development.
