The following is the marker text : DURING THE 2ND SEMINOLE INDIAN WAR AND AFTER THE BATTLE OF THE LOXAHATCHEE JAN 24,1838,THE TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS AND MILITIA CAMPED ON THIS SITE.ONE MILE EAST THE U.S. ARMY REGULARS ESTABLISHED OLD FORT JUPITER. This site was discovered when they were putting in the housing development.Many artifacts were found but the development marched on.This is related to the battle field in Riverbend Park and Powells Battle markerhere
