The courthouse clock in Gainsville was originally in the top of old courthouse building. When the building was demolished the clock was carefully removed and installed in the clock tower.

The clock is an eight day Seth Thomas tower clock built in Thomaston, Connecticut in 1885 and was installed in Gainsville the same year.
