On the westbound side of Mass. Route 9, in Natick, MA, is a miniature golf course tucked behind some retail stores that is known as Golf on the Village Green. This unusual miniature golf course has been at this location for over 44 years.
The holes on this course have a distinctly historical/patriotic/New England theme to them. While the accuracy of the buildings being depicted vary, there are some nice historical signs that provide a nice touch, especially when talking about the 'Praying Indians' that had settled in the area in 1651. Holes include putting around or through Fanueil Hall, Old North Church, Statue of Liberty, a lighthouse, a wagonwheel, a fort and muskets. Several of the holes have challenges where if you get a hole in one, you get to take off two strokes on your scorecard.
There is also a game room that has, among other things, an air hockey table!
