Crooked River Lighthouse - Carrabelle, FL - U.S. National Register of Historic Places on Waymarking.com

This Light house was built in 1933 and became automated in 1952. The Lens was built in 1894 by Henti LaPaute in Paris France. The Lens is currently on display at the US Coast Guard Headquaters in New Orleans.

This lighthouse was decomissioned in 1995. On December 8, 2007 The US Coast Guard recommissioned the Crooked River Light House as a Private Aid to Navigation. Currently the Carrabelle Lighthouse assoication is the manger of the facility which is owned by the city of Carrabelle. There are currently no tours of the facility as restoration is taking place on the site to rebuild a replica of the Lightkeepers house to be located adjacent the Lighthouse.
