These are the remains of a Roman water pipe found in Kornwesthein.
They are approximately from the 1st to 3rd century AD.
The water pipe provided the area of today's city centre.
It is unclear from which spring the water was gathered.
The gutters of the water pipe are made out of room sand stone and between 1 to 2 meter long.
They are build in a slight gradient of about 1%.
The gap clearances of the gutter were sealed up with lead.
