The memorial is sited in a walled area set back from the road with iron gates at the front. A stone base surmounted by a plinth, shaft and cross of sacrifice. Panels in relief on the sides of the plinth with inscription in black letters on them.
There is a bronze sword on the cross with a bronze wreath at the base of the shaft.
The inscriptions are as follows:-
