K & K World Champion Taekwondo was established by Grandmaster Byong-Cheol Kim and Grandmaster Je-Kyoung Kim of South Korea. Fifteen years ago, they were teammates on the national taekwondo team of South Korea. They were both gold medalists in their respective weight classes at the world championship and at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

Today, B.C. Kim is the head instructor at the school's Portland location (18335 NW West Union Rd Suite H, Portland OR, 97229). Je Kim is the head instructor at the Lake Oswego location (3 Monroe Parkway Suite K, Lake Oswego, OR 97035).

Jason Leitzke was the head instructor at the Scappoose location from March 2009 to December 2010. He was a third degree black belt who had studied under Master Kim for more than ten years. On 05/15/2010, Jason Letizke received his fourth dan certification. He is now properly addressed as Master Jason or Leitzke Sabunim. In June 2010, he resigned his position at the school in order pursue educational opportunities in the field of nursing, effective 12/20/2010.

In November 2010, HyungMin Jun (aka Eric) began teaching at World Champion Taekwondo in Scappoose. Eric emigrated from South Korea when he as nine years old. He studied under Master Kim as a child and teenager in Portland, Oregon. He is recently returned from Bridgeport University in Connecticut where he completed a B.A. in martial arts studies. He has also participated on the New York National Demonstration Team. He signed a three-year contract with Master Kim to teach at the Scappoose location. He currently holds a 3rd dan certification but plans to test for his 4th dan in two years.

Saturday 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
