ROC Posts were built for use in a nuclear conflict and would have been manned by volunteers from the Royal Observer Corps. They would be responsible for reporting nuclear blasts and monitoring fallout. The post was opened in 1962 and closed in 1991 after the end of the cold war.

The post is still owned by the MOD and has appropriate signs. The actual shelter is locked but is in very good condition. There is a gravel layby where you can park and have a look, but be careful and respectful.
Capacity of shelter: 15

Radiation monitoring equipment: yes
