The museum is located in an old town house and has a series of period rooms displaying scenes throughout the years. There is a 17th century hall, Georgian parlour, Victorian kitchen and much more.
History from prehistoric ages to modern times are depicted. There are interactive archaeological displays and galleries based on childhood and Dorset village life.
Also on offer is a small shop, garden and refreshments in the Boat House Tea Room.
