The Pennsylvania side of the trail is located in the Allegheny National Forest and is marked by blue blazes while the New York side is located in Allegeny State Park and is marked with white blazes. The border crossing sign and a trail log mark the border crossing.
We approached the crossing from the Pennsylvania side by making making about a 1.2 mile walk from a North Country parking area along Route 346. The parking is located at N 41° 59.074 W 078° 54.133.
