This is right off West I-40, near Joseph City, AZ between Winslow and Holbrook. Take Exit 269, head east till road turns to the north. Most dramatic photos taken during monsoon season sometime in August.

Not much information about this particular structure, but there are a number of buildings and small towns that died away with the building of Interstate 40 and the subsequent demise of Route 66.
The I-40 was completed in 1984, although construction started in the mid 1960s. It is not clear when exactly the communities around this location started to decline, but I would guess sometime in the late 1970s, before the decertification of Route 66 in 1985.
