Long Description:
"High" Mileage
Its top speed was only 8.7 MPH, but its radio could reach all the way from the Moon to the Earth. The battery-operated Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV), which was designed in 1969, enabled the astronauts of Apollo 15, 16 and 17 to explore the low gravity surface of the Moon.
