First meeting of the Ticknerville School District 2713 was held at the residence of J.B. Sim, Trustees: H. Decker, J.B. Sim, with W. Tyler, Chairman and PO Claassen, Sec, Treas.

A sixteen hundred dollar debenture was issued at eight percent interest.
July 29, 1911
Frank Chapman contracted to supply material and labor to erect a school for $1065.00.
Oct.1, 1911
School opened with 17 students. George grieve teaching, salary $55.00 per month.
May 23, 1912
Name Tickerville Changed to Fort Pitt.
June 30, 1967
School closed, students conveyed Via bus to Frenchman Butte.
Mrs. Susana Bucham taught final seventeen years.
