This memorial does not seem limited to those veterans who lived in Scappoose. Anyone who wishes to honor a veteran can place a brick or a tile with his or her name on it for display in the memorial. In addition to carved bricks, there are also etched tiles honoring ships, planes, individuals and groups. These tiles are particularly interesting because they include etched photographs as well as text. There is lots of space for placing more bricks and tiles, so repeat visits are encouraged.
