This clock tower is located in a beachside park located at the northern end of Walking St, Pattaya, near the Bali Hai pier. The park is surrounded by restaurants (including a Sbux WM70JP), aquatic sports, play areas, and is close to the Pattaya hill, which has a host of touristy spots. Clearly, a tourist oriented clock tower.
The tower itself is free standing, approximately 15m high, has four clock faces on four sides, and is in a clean and well maintained state.
The construction of the tower was initiated by the local Lions to commemorate an international Lions meeting held in Pattaya in 2006. The construction was funded and overseen by both the local government of Pattaya and the local Lions groups. Construction was completed in 2009.
