This memorial is located in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam, N.Y. This is the first foreign memorial I've found of any kind. The translation took a bit to figure out and was only translated with help from another waymarker. The monument and flagpole stands behind 5 headstones and is quite unusual in itself. There is two headstone style memorial stones sharing the same base with a small cannon on the left. The photo above translates to:
In eternal memory of World War Veterans
on 36th anniversary of founding St. Michael Brotherhood
on 10th anniversary of free Poland
The Brotherhood erects this memorial with the former chaplain A. Gorski
on 30th May, 1928
Many thanx to haggaeus for the translation. Happy Waymarking, Swizzle & Family
