These old stocks and whipping post stand on the pathway which leads to the ruins of Christchurch Castle.

The devices were replaced here to mark the Centennial 1886 to 1986 in Christchurch. The stocks are now firmly padlocked and include the stone seat on which to put the offenders. The whipping post stands next to the stocks.

They are located in a dark alley leading to the castle and bowling green.
