A wonderful Southern Railway train station from the past that is now a private residence. Located in Almond North Carolina

I was not able to find much history about this location so if you have information about the Almond station let me know and I will post what you have.

Here is what I found.

The Almond railroad depot is located near the farm and home of D.W. Brosnan, former president of Southern Railway. In 1951, D.W. Brosnan, Southern Railway Executive Vice President of operations and future Chairman, began holding meetings for company officers in Almond, North Carolina, a small town in the mountains west of Asheville.
