Starting within Rock Point Provincial Park, this trail marker plaque is placed on the shore of Lake Erie, which has a very nice beach and picnic area.

Originally listed at 255km in length and now expanded to 275km, the Grand Valley Trail celebrates its 75th year this year (2009). Spanning the distance between Lake Erie and the town of Acton, it passes through many unique areas of the Grand River Watershed.

Parking is available at Rock Point Provincial Park for the price of a day pass. See Rock Point for more exact info on dates and rates.

The Grand Valley Trails Association website also has details on organized hikes, volunteer opportunities and updates to the trail path.
