Il s'agit d'un cadran solaire analématique; i.e. qu'il est
parfaitement aligné sur l'étoile polaire et que sa ligne centrale
est dans le sens de "L'Axe du Monde". Ce cadran solaire est unique
au Québec. Pour y voir l'heure, vous devez vous tenir debout sur la
ligne centrale à la hauteur de la date du jour. Il y a une
différence de 10 minutes et 48 secondes entre l'heure solaire qu'il
donne et l'heure normale.

Prendre le cadran solaire en photo. GPS dans l'image optionel.
English version
It is an Analemmatic sundial. This means that it is perfectly
aligned on the north star and the central line is straight in the
"Axis of the Earth". This sundial is unique in Quebec. To read the
time from it, just stand on the central line at the day's date.
There is a difference of 10 minutes and 48 seconds between the
normal time and the solar time at the sundial's place.
