Long Description:
The AEGON Center is easily recognized in any view of the Louisville skyline. Rising to a height of 549 feet, it is the tallest building in Louisville and in all of Kentucky.

A distinctive feature of the building is the 80-foot high Romanesque dome which reflects the buildings original name of Capital Holding. The dome is illuminated from the interior at night. The uppermost floors of the building are also illuminated at night. The AEGON Center's lighting is changed from the usual white to a combination of red and green from Thanksgiving Day until New Year's Day.

The plaza outside the AEGON Center is a favorite gathering place for downtown employees and visitors. The plaza is highlighted by four fountains and a statue of Kentucky Derby Alysheba.
