"The Rocket Room opened May 19, 2007. It is located at 230 Pueblo Ave (the corner of Wahsatch & Cimarron). In May 2008 it was named BEST BAR by The Gazette. Run by Shalonda & Dave Cantrell the goal of the club is to bring in & showcase quality original live Rock-n-Roll, Honky Tonk Country, Garage, Rockabilly, Gutbucket Blues, Surf, Shoegaze, Experimental,...whatever floats our boat at any given time, (even Burlesque, Spoken Word, Performance Art, Independent Films, etc.) whether it be local, regional, national or international." -- excerpted from their MySpace website
