On the sign is an inscription detailing the fact that this signpost is one of 1000 funded by The Royal Bank of Scotland to mark the creation of the national Cycle Network.
The sign was designed by D. Andrew Rowe in 1998 and has an attractive chainlink design. The places indicated are Poole Quay and Hamworthy 1m, Westbourne 5m, Bournemouth 6.5m, Wimborne 7m and Blandford 18.5m.
Placed by the quay the sign is a striking feature as you walk or cycle along by the sea.
