This is a very typical, boilerplate memorial, set to the left of the main entrance in a small alcove. These memorials are the norm for our area. Across from it on the other wall is a plaque bearing the fireman's prayer.

History
This fire company was organized in 1893. On July 13, 1977, ironically, there was a fire at the station house. Damage included the loss of 3 trucks and 3/4 of the station. In 1979 The rebuilding of the Central Avenue station occurred with it being dedicated in 1981. Twin Hahn 1500 GPM pumpers were purchased. An EMS engine program was initiated and the company purchased equipment to perform rescues from motor vehicle accidents. In 1989, the company purchased the FM 84 vehicle and the Chief's vehicle was purchased in 1990. In 1993, the company celebrated its 100 year anniversary.
