The Black Hill Nature Center is open year-round and offers exhibits about the flora and fauna of the area. Naturalists also offer seasonal pontoon boat tours and educational programs.

Black Hill Park is located in Boyds, Maryland. Visitors can fish and go boating in Little Seneca Lake, picnic at the pavilions or hike along the many trails.
The Nature Center is open daily in warm seasons and on weekends in cold seasons. Inside are permanent and seasonal exhibits about the ecosystems in the park. Large windows and a walk-around deck overlook the lake and have informational signs. There are demonstration gardens outside of the center.
The Black Hill Nature Center is staffed by naturalists and volunteers. Tours and educational programs can be arranged for school, scout and other groups.
No live animals are inside the center on permanent basis, but some are brought in periodically for special programs. Gardens and feeders are used to attract the native insects and animals for visitor observation and education.
