Long Description:
Elizabeth copper mine was the largest copper mine of it,s time in the United States, producing over 100'500'000 lbs of copper.
With copper being discovered here in 1793, the mine was operational off and on from the early 1800's up until 1958 when copper prices declined to the point where it was not profitable to mine anymore.
