Long Description:
The first version was built by city Public Works Department carpenter Ron Gembarosky. He constructed and installed Snoopy on his doghouse as a tribute to the famed Charles Shulz death (Feb 2000). In addition, the doghouse prevented people from tripping over conduits, wiring and studs that had been installed nearly 20 years ago in case the city eventually needed them for new street lights and sign posts. It was stolen in May and never recovered. Ron built a replacement soon afterward. That version was stolen in December 2000, but was quickly recovered.
