This attractive sundial stands beside the tower of Wimborne Minster.

The sundial has a plaque which reads as follows:
'This ancient sun-dial was removed from the gable of the south transept at its restoration - 1801 and erected thereafter 1894.
George F. Richards, Charles H. Gush - Church Wardens.'

The sundial bears a date on the front of 1676. It is a pillar of stone with Roman Numeral markings.
