Hiking / Biking trail, Beaver Creek Park -- York, NE (east end) - Hiking and walking trailheads on Waymarking.com

Photo taken Sept. 3, 2009, looking north. The east entrance to the Beaver Creek Park hiking / biking trail system is on the west side of Blackburn Avenue, just south of the Beaver Creek bridge. The parking lot is gravel; the trail entrance is wheelchair accessible. Intermediate entrances to the trail system are located on Nobes Road, Nebraska Avenue, and Lincoln Avenue. The original west end of the trail system is on Kingsley Avenue, adjacent to the tennis / basketball court.

The trail system was constructed as part of a major park system improvement project in the mid-1970's. Much of the original signage and ancillary exercise stations that were part of the trail system have succumbed to wear and tear. The trails follow Beaver Creek and are shaded for most of their course by mature trees. They are lighted.
