The building was built by the Seattle Times when they outgrew their previous location. The paper chose the triangular site because it allowed light to flow into every section of the building.

The four storey building is covered at every elevation with beige terra-cotta decoration.

The building was built by Bebb and Gould.

The Times Building is located at the intersection of Olive Way and Sewart St., at 414 Olive Way. The building is open to the public during regular business hours.
