Leading up to the Capitolum Hill, where town hall is located, the steps are many and the slope is steep, but the view from the top where the church entrance is located is superb.
One of the most celebrated churches in the city.
built in 1346, in gratitude for sparing the city population from the bubonic plague. The known Cola di Rienzo was assasinated at the base of the steps a few years later.
