Bad Säckingen is a rural located in the very south of Germany next to the Swiss border on the river Rhine. The city lies on the southern edge of the Black Forest area. The medieval center is dominated by Friedolinsmünster, a cethedral of the 13th century and the covered wooden bridge which is the longest in Europe (not the more famous Kapellbrücke in Lucerne that usually claims this record).

The view is from Mumpferfluh, a hill in Northern Switzerland across the Rhine.
